My favourite kind of sandwich

Kayden made this for me today. I think its meant to be a sandwich. He showed me how to eat it, then put it in my hand and said "Thank you!" then walked away.
Yummiest sandwich I've ever seen. I wasn't as keen to try it though.

Kids.

Is this a sign?

I didn't realize we do this so often that Kayden's actually copying us!  But obviously we spend way too much time on things like these.

All aboard

Following my previous post about his love of soft toys, this is what Kayden does.

He carefully arranges his little plush friends on his little couch then proceeds to squeeze his nappy bum in between them all as well. If someone were to fall off, he jumps off his seat with a "OH!!!" and then rearranges everybody once again. This little activity keeps him occupied for all of ten minutes or so.

Mommy is NOT allowed on it with them.

It really is entertainment for Mommy and Daddy when he does this. I bend over laughing so much when he gets all frustrated, does the "Oh no!", and then does a pouty lip face haha!

OK, granted that NOSE and TOES sounds similar. But NO.

And P/S: That's so not your colour boy. You ain't a metrosexual YET.

Pardon the even crappier pics, I've gotten way lazier. These are just off my phone.

Who needs chocolate when there's vegemite?

We do this!

And so we get THIS!
Photos taken from my ancient mobile, crappy! My little aussie man at heart LOVES his vegemite,
this was him one evening before dinner. He had us all in a laughing fit!

Kayden Uncut

His fruits that is. I've come to realise, he enjoys his fruits alot more when he has them whole. My mum's fruit basket looks like it has been attacked by mice overnight. Kayden picks an apple up and proceeds to leave a bite mark on it. Then he puts it down and does the same to the rest of the fruits. Ergh. It's like an uncontrollable urge he has. He does that everytime he sees a fruit. So now, I park the supermarket trolley a few steps away to prevent all of you from buying Kayden branded fruits (which has happened plenty of times already!).

After dinner, Goong Goong cuts apples and pears for everyone. Kayden goes "Air-per!" and tries to clamour onto him as he does it. He would be happily munching on a slice of apple until he notices more uncut apples in the fruit basket.

So what's the most natural thing to do? Throw sliced apple onto floor and make a mad dash for the fruit basket of course!

Kayden finishes his meals usually within ten minutes flat. A blessing I know. But sometimes he (still) forgets to chew. And ends up with a face like that last picture, which PoPo describes as "Eyes as big as marbles! Chew boy boy!".

Plenty of apples in the fruit basket. No hurry. Nobody's going to fight you for those apples you've marked.

It's not really that funny Kayden

He thinks it's really funny when I walk into our room to see it in a state like this.

Then he laughs.

At me.

So what do I do? Laugh along with him of course. Kayden, you're lucky Mommy has a sense of humour. Even when you do this at least once a week!

Looking like a bespectacled old grandfather

Since we've arrived in sunny Singapore, K has truly adapted really well. I really can't complain about him much. (I don't count the teething grumpyness - molars, my poor baby, Ouch!) The only thing he is having trouble adapting to, is no doubt the hot humid weather.

I remember how ages ago when he was alot younger, I read somewhere that babies release heat through their little heads. But I really wasn't expecting an extremely damp pillow and beaded sweat trickling down the sides of his face as he sleeps. In a cooled 22 degree room!

As such, he's been living in thin jersey singlets for most of his time here. And then, usually accompanied by these very Terminator like sunnies.

And on this particular day, he had on these very stylish outfit to go with them. But only to be let down by this sight of him peering over his sunnies instead of looking through them!

My little lift boy

Photos 1: Only Goong Goong gives me free rein of the lift buttons. Mummy only lets me press them once.

Photo 2: When we reached the lobby, most of us got out. Kayden peeked out and waved us all goodbye and ducked back inside! I had to physically try to pull him out of the lift. In the end I carried the boy out!

Funny hair

MMmm??? What's wrong with my hair?

Fresh from my bath

Umm... there's just a little something at the top of your head Kayden
Birthday morning! Excitedness! BOOF!

Would you believe this is the same baby! Kayden's hair has a life of its own. On some days, it decides its a happy day and it reaches for the skies. And then on some days, it is as though, it is feeling down, and is as flat and stiff as a surfboard.  Or it feels like it is going to be an exciting day, and boofs itself up, looking like Bloat the blowfish in Finding Nemo.
